Deltans have been urged to rally round, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan as he begins the race for the forth-coming governorship re-run election in Delta State.
Mr Paul Adingwupu, an Information and Communication Technology expert, made the call at the launch of a new website, an interactive session with media men and some indigenes of Delta State in Lagos State, weekend.
“The project seeks to highlight the achievements and educate the general public on the monumental stride of Uduaghan’s three and half years as Governor,” he said.
“In 2007 when Dr. Uduaghan took the mantle of leadership in Delta State, he came with a purpose and determination to make a mark. Unlike his predecessor, Uduaghan’s resolve was borne out of the fact that he had functioned first, as a commissioner, then later as a Secretary to Government and Head of Service. In a way, these appointments sufficiently prepared him for positioning the state as a hub of development in the South South region of Nigeria,” he said.
He praised Uduaghan for his purposeful leadership which took the state to greater height. “Like an actor in an ancient Greek drama, he went straight to the challenge of transforming Delta for the good of all.
There is therefore, no gain saying the fact that his works are undisputed testimonials in the over three years that he held sway as Governor. And his achievements are verifiable as they speak for themselves.”
“There is hardly any area that Uduaghan left unaddressed. From health, public transportation, aviation, the environment and empowerment to security, peace, infrastructural development, information technology, education, agriculture and industrial revolution, Uduaghan acquitted himself as a seasoned administrator and lover of his people,” he added.
This much is available for public scrutiny and verification on www.realuduaghan.com. Even his worst critics can attest to the quantum leap in development and social services that marked his tenure”, he said.
