The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) is presently holding its National Convention at the Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin in Edo State.

The event which is being attended by convention delegates from all states of the federation is expected to ratify the party’s constitution and executive officers and elect national flag bearers of the party at the 2011 election.  Former EFCC boss, Nuhu Ribadu, Attahiru Bafarawa and others are seeking the presidential ticket of the party.

The Chairman of the convention committe, Dr. Chris Ngige, who has just finished addressing the convention, said the party wants to use the convention to chart a new course for the nation and put in place “methodologies” that will ensure that ANC emerges the ruling party in 2011. Details later…
