By Oboh Agbonkhese
Nigerian-born County Commissioner of Tallahassee, North Florida, United States of America, USA, Mr. Akin Akinyemi, has commended the structural and aesthetic transformation of Lagos State by the Mr. Babatunde Fashola-led administration.

He made the commendation at the reception organised in his honour by Dr. Rasak Folami, Chairman of Surulere Local Government Area, in Lagos, Thursday.

Mr. Akinyemi said: “As an architect, I know the importance of parks, scenery, statutes, and good roads to any community. He (Fashola) is doing a good job.” He then called on Lagosians to give the Governor their support because, according to him, “the only thing that changes the world is a committed citizenry.”

He promised to promote a sister-city relationship with Lagos which will be of benefit in governance, philanthropy and professionally.

Earlier in his address, Dr. Folarin eulogised the County Commissioner, saying, “We now turn to him for a hand of collaboration under the Surulere Economic Summit for cooperation and establishment of a sister-city relationship between Surulere and Tallahassee for the promotion of development, education and culture.”
