Ex-junior international, Nduka Ugbade has showered encomium on newly appointed Super Eagles coach, Samson Yebowei Siasia.
Last Thursday, the Heartland FC of Owerri coach was named the coach of the national team after a careful interview that saw him pitched against his former team-mate and captain, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi.
“It is a thing of joy having him as the coach of the national team. This is very good and it’s what every Nigerian has been clamouring for. I want to congratulate him on his new job and I hope that things will go well with him. My prayer is that he should do the best he can.
“I believe the reason for his selection was because he has been around in the country for a very long time and has also helped in development of grassroots football in the country.
“The Olympic team was also a plus. I think he deserves to coach the senior national team.
My advice for him is that he should do his best and ensure that whatever he is doing is the right thing and he should be able to instil discipline in the team and by God’s grace he will leave up to expectations,” he said.
