ABUJA — Two of the 11 members of the House of Representatives who were suspended for unruly behaviour, Messrs Ehioge-West Idahosa and Gbenga Onigbogi, were recalled to the House yesterday.
The recall followed the adoption of the report of the Saleh Minjibir-led House committee on Ethics and Privileges.
The report explained that Rep. West-Idahosa and Onigbogi showed remorse, and therefore deserved pardon.
When he appeared before the committee, Onigbogi tendered his international passport with a three-month visa to India and evidence of discontinuance of the suit he filed to challenge his suspension.
Other lawmakers still serving the suspension order are Messrs Dino Melaye,Solomon Awhinawhi, Autin Nwachukwu, Abbas Anas, Gbenga Oduwaiye, Kayode Amusan, Bitrus Kase, Independence Ogunnewe and Doris Uboh.
However, the nine lawmakers still in suspension vowed that they will not beg to be re-admitted into the House.
In a statement signed by one of the suspended members, Rep. Solomon Ahwinahwi,they made it clear that they would not beg to return to the House.
