Olympians storm Lagos for NOA Elections

All is now set for the elections into the executive committee of the Nigeria Olympians Association (NOA), scheduled for tomorrow, at Media Centre of the National Stadium, Lagos.

In a release issued by Frank Ilaboya, the NOA Press Secretary, over 50 Olympians are already in Lagos for the big event, with others expected to arrive before the elections day.

14 Olympians have signified interest to contest for the various vacant positions. Those who have picked and returned their forms are: Prince Henry Amike, who is running unopposed for the post of the President, Victor Ikpeba and Henry Nwosu (1st Vice President), while Falilat Ogunkoya Omotayo and Henry Akinwande will slug it out for the 2nd Vice President slot.

Others are Bridget Yamala (Secretary), Bose Kaffo (Asst. Secretary), Mary Onyali Omagbemi, Jerry Okorodudu and Sunday Bada (PRO), Helen Idahosa and Obiasia Nwankpa (Financial Secretary). Anne Echejile and Mary Nwachukwu will battle for the Treasurer position.
