AS Nigerians await to know who the next head coach of the Super Eagles would be, Samson Siasia, the man most touted to be coach has vowed not to work with or under his former skipper, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi.
Siasia and Keshi are the two coaches penciled down for the job and would know on Thursday when the Technical Committee meet to decide on who succeeds run-away Swedish coach Lars Lagerback.
But Samson Siasia speaking on Brila fm yesterday vowed that the Technical Committee should not contemplate on bringing him and Keshi to work together. “There is no way the two of us will work together. I won’t even work under him.
We are two different people. He is my friend and we played together. We get on well and this has nothing to do with our relationship”, Siasia who is also the chief Coach of Heartland FC, a premier league club from south East said.
Siasia is not alone. His wife, Sandra who has remained his pillar has also come to say that his husband would not play the second fiddle to anybody in the national team of Nigeria. “I know what my husband is capable of doing.
But the truth is that two captains cannot pilot one ship. There is no how my husband will work under anybody”, the wife said.
The Technical Committee of the Nigeria Football Association under Barrister Chris Green would meet on Thursday to select the next coach for the Eagles.
