By Ogbonna Amadi
President Goodluck Jonathan has confirmed his attendance at this year’s 12th session of the Osigwe Anyiam Osigwe annual lecture series.

The lecture, scheduled for November 26, at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, NIIA, Lagos, has former Pakistan President, Mr. Pervez Musharraf, as keynote speaker.

A statement by Mr. Michael Anyiam Osigwe, Coordinator-General of the Foundation, said President Jonathan is the Special Guest of Honour at the lecture where Chief Arthur Mbanefo, former Ambassador/Special Representative of Nigeria to the United Nations will serve as Chairman.

The statement read:  “President Jonathan’s acceptance to be the special guest at this year’s lecture is a welcome development as this will no doubt assist in internalising the development philosophy of the late sage, especially among the ruling elite.”

Professor Barry Hallen of the Morehouse College, Atlanta; Professor Joseph Asike of Howard University, Washington DC; Prof. Helen Lauer of the University of Legon, Ghana; and Prof. Godwin Sogolo from Nigeria, will be lead paper presenters at the conference on the development philosophy of Anyiam-Osigwe at the University of Ibadan.

Former Pakistani leader will deliver his keynote address on, National Security as Fundamental to Building Enduring Democracy.
