Ilorin—Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Emir of Ilorin, has declared support for the presidential ambition of Governor Bukola Saraki of Kwara State.
The Emir made the declaration in Ilorin, Tuesday, after the Eid-el-Kabir prayers.
He said developmental projects of Saraki stands him out to qualify for the presidential task.
He prayed to God to give Saraki victory in the 2011 presidential polls and congratulated all muslims for witnessing another sallah.
He praised the governor for developments recorded in the state under his administration, saying that he would do more if elected president.
Sulu-Gambari, however, urged politicians to shun politics of do-or-die and avoid use of thugs in the 2011 general elections.
He thanked the Commissioner of Police, Director of State Security Service, Commander of Civil Defence Corps and other security agents in the state for maintaining peace among people.
In his sermon, Alhaji Salihu Bashir, the Chief Imam of Ilorin, urged muslims to increase their supplications.
