Delta guber re-run: Opuoru assures on massive votes for Uduaghan

IN the wake of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC’s release of time-table for Delta guber re-run poll, a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, stalwart and aspirant to Warri South Constituency II seat in Delta State House of Assembly, Mr. Matthew Opuoru, has expressed strong optimism, that people of Okere–Urhobo in Warri South Local Government Area and Deltans in general will overwhelmingly vote for Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan during the re-run election.

In a telephone chat with Vanguard, Wednesday, he added  “the few Democratic Peoples Party, DPP, members left in Okere-Urhobo have since defected to PDP.”

The House of Assembly hopeful stressed that  Uduaghan had demonstrated the capability to govern.

He said, “Dr. Uduaghan was able to instill transparency in the award of contract, executed various infrastructural projects, consolidated on intra and inter-ethnic harmony in the state, created an enabling environment for small and medium scale businesses to thrive as well as initiated various health care programmes while in office as Chief Executive of Delta State.”

Mr. Opuoru was particularly delighted about  Uduaghan’s micro and macro credit schemes as well as bursary awards to students of Delta State origin up to tertiary level.
