Chairman Northern Traditional Leaders Forum, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Kyari Umar El Kanemi has assured that the recent crisis in Borno State, sparked by the Boko- Haram sect would not in any way disrupted the on-going immunisation process.
The royal leader who spoke in his palace during in Bama Local Government Area of the State, maintained that the exercise was being carried out in the day time and not at night. He added that the Boko Haram do not attacked innocent people.
“What they do is targeted attack and they pursue and even when they get their target, they ensure innocent persons are not involved. It is like military tactics of operation.
The exercise is going on smoothly here in Bama. For now we have observed just little hitch of non-compliance and all attention is being focused on these places. I am very much aware that out of 14 Wards only two are non-compliance. I know the health workers will do something about them.”
Chairman, Bama Local Government, Hon Kullima Kachalla, said of the 37 LGAs, only four were selected and four clinics were also selected in Bama for attention to malnutrition cases.
