Professor Isaac Rotimi Ajayi has been elected as the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, AKungba-Akoko by the institution Senate at its special  meeting held on Oct. 27, 2010.

His  election and that of the incumbent Director of GST, Prof. G.O. Abe, had earlier been placed before Senate by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Femi Mimiko.

Prof. Ajayi who is currently the Dean, Faculty of Science and Ag. Director, Computer Center, attended the University of Ibadan from 1983-1994 where he bagged B.Sc. Physics (1987) with 2nd  upper division, Masters and Ph.D. in Radiation & Health Physics from the University of Ibadan in 1990 & 1994 respectively.

He also attended College of Medical Physics, International Center for Theoretical Physics, Trieste, Italy.

A winner of several research fellowship both at home & abroad, Prof. Ajayi was appointed Professor of Radiation & Health Physics in January 2008.

The confirmation of his appointment as the Deputy Vice Chancellor is expected to be done by the Governing Council at its next meeting slated for November 2010.

Prof. Ajayi is happily married with two children.His  wife, Dr. Mrs.  Ajay  is currently the H.O.D. of International Studies in Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko.
