Ndanusa, Ogba cheer Team Nigeria

By Tony Ubani in India
President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee, NOC, Engineer Sani Ndanusa continued to roam from one venue to another to cheer Team Nigeria athletes as the Commonwealth Games enters its last days.

Ndanusa who replaced another Engineer, Habu Gumel who is now an IOC member has been living up to expectation carrying  the burden of leadership.

“It is exciting not minding that it is hectic to move to all the scattered venues. But the reward is that the Nigerian contingent have been turning in excellent performances”, Ndanusa said at the weighlifting event where Nigeria has mined gold.

“It is unprecedented to see Nigerian athletes dig for gold in the most disciplined manner. These are heroes and heroines. They have been wonderful with their officials and we are indeed grateful”, the NOC President said as they look and cheer lustfully hoping to topple South Africa from the table among other African countries.

Athletics Federation President, Chief Solomon Ogba is not left out from the cheerleaders. His presence has rejuvenated the Nigerian runners who all have a Siamese relationship with him. At the Games Village , the athletes cluster around Ogba for refreshing guides.
