Lawmaker told to account for stewardship

By Festus Ahon
UGHELLI—THE Isoko Action for Survival, a socio-political group, has told the member representing Isoko South Constituency 1 in the Delta State House of Assembly, Mr Benjamin Efekodo to give account of his stewardship in the last three years to the people of the constituency or forget his second term ambition.

The group in a statement by its leader, Mr Blessing Ojile, accused  Efekodo of non performance,  adding “there is no sign of anything he has done, such as constituency project in the three communities that make up the constituency.

“Where are the funds meant for constituency projects from the state government in the past three years?” he queried.

“We are saying that if he fails to give account of his stewardship to the people, we will make sure that he does not get elected for a second term through legal means.

“After 50 years of unsatisfactory governance, Isoko people need restoration, character, ethics, national integrity by true and compassionate leaders,” he added.
