UGHELLI—MEMBER representing Ughelli South Local Government Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Olorogun Taleb Tebite, has charged Deltans to key into the peace and security agenda of the State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan.
Tebite who gave the charge while chatting with Vanguard yesterday, said peace was the key to sustainable and even development of any society, enjoining the people of the State to sustain the prevailing peace in the State.
Saying that Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan and his Deputy, essor Amos Utuama, SAN, meant well for the State, he held that the State had witnessed radical development in all spheres of life since the duo assumed office in 2007.
According to him, youths and the unemployed in the State were being empowered by the State Government through its Micro Credit Scheme, adding that; “one of the ways we could appreciate the effort of the duo of Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan and Prof Amos Utuama is for us to re-elect them in 2011.”
He assured the people of Ughelli South Local Government Area of adequate representation in the state House of Assembly.
Uduaghan commended for prudence
Governor Emmanuel Eweten Uduaghan of Delta State, has been commended for the judicious and prudent manner he has channeled the state’s resources to the general benefits of Deltans. This was stated by the National Co-ordinator, the Inspired Group, Mr Michael Ejueyitsi Tidi, during the governor’s 50th birthday in Asaba.
According to Mr Tidi, who is vying for the Delta State House of Assembly, Warri South1 constituency on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, “we task our Governor to continue to make the right decisions for the people of Delta State, especially his ethics and care for Deltans. We have never had it so good until he assumed office. The prudence being displayed by his administration in the area of allocating our scarce resources is quite laudable. We therefore look forward to working with him as our Governor for another 4 year tenure by the grace of God.”
