Jonathan tees off NEGIT golf invitational in Uyo

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is fast becoming a golfer of national repute. Few weeks ago, the number citizen was at the IBB Golf and Country Club where he performed the ceremonial tee off of the Nigeria at 50 golf tournament.

Today in Uyo, Jonathan whose golf skills has improved tremendously will be on hand to tee off the maiden of Nigerian Executive Golf Invitational Tournament (NEGIT). With Governor .

The 18 holes golf facility at Le Meridian Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort will today witness the maiden edition of the Nigerian Executive Golf Invitational Tournament (NEGIT).

The event which will feature top executive amateur golfers from the nooks and crannies of the country, is expected to promote the tourism potentials of Akwa Ibom state.

According to Ben Oranusi, NEGIT President/Chief Executive Officer, the tournament is a world-class golf competition designed to showcase the immense potentials of the Ibom Golf course at the Le Meridian Hotel & Golf Resort in Uyo.

In addition, he added that the tournament will also provide a perfect forum for bringing together high net worth individuals and organization leaders, who have strong passion for the game to network, connect and have fun at its highest peak in the spirit for which golf is known for.

“With the golf facility at the Le Meridian Hotel & Golf Resort in Uyo and tremendous positive response that we have received so far, we are confident that NEGIT will tee off in style and then go ahead to grow into a golf tournament of repute all over the world,” Oranusi said.

The tournament is billed to hold three times a year and it has attracted top notch Chief Executive Officers in the private sector as well as top public offices who have indicated interest to attend.
