As part of its Corpo rate Social Responsibility, (CSR), fixed wireless phone operator, Multi-Links Telkom, has donated medical equipment valued at about N6 million to the Paediatrics Department of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH)
The medical equipment donated, according to Multi-links include: Oxygen Concentrator, Oxygen concentrator, controlled type only, Laryngoscopes with endotracheal tubes, Pulse Oximeter (1 no. manufacture by Fazini Italy), Pulse Oximeter (Disk stand charger), Ventilator (1 no.), Haematocrit Centrifuge (Hawsley) (1 no.) and Nebuliser machine, which the Chief Medical Director of UITH described life saving medical equipment.
While presenting the equipment to the Management of UITH, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer (CCAO) Mrs. Abazie reiterated Multi-Links Telkom’s strong dedication to its investments in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
She recalled the promised made to the UITH Management sometime back and the dogged pursuit of the promise in line with the brand’s philosophy of integrity, reliability, trust, responsibility and partnership.
Though acknowledging that Multi-Links Telkom is relatively small and still growing as a company, she stated that the company will not shy away from adding to societal needs via its principle of touching lives in line with the pay off line of the company: Touching Lives.
The CMD, Dr. A. W. O. Olatinwo, in his welcome address urged other stakeholders to emulate the gesture of Multi-Links Telkom by investing in critical areas of health challenges without waiting for government to meet all the needs of the people as amply demonstrated by the Management of Multi-Links Telkom.
“I wish to say that Multi-Links Telecommunications’ concept of good corporate citizenship must, and should encapsulate empathy from us, with a view to identifying with your products.
Therefore, we are going to seek further area of collaboration, particularly in the area of Information/Communications Technology. In addition, we shall be ready to oblige Multi-Links Telkom space to erect its Mast within the hospital premises,” he said in his thank you message to the Management of Multi-Links Telkom.
