Academic activities at King of Kings Nursery and Primary School in Ago, Okota area of Lagos were, yesterday, brought to a standstill following the discovery of the lifeless body of one of its pupils inside the school’s septic tank.
Surprisingly, the body was discovered to be that of two years, nine-month-old Uchechukwu who had been declared missing since three weeks.
Late Uchechukwu Nwazue, who was in play group class, reportedly resumed for the session on September 27. But apprehension set in later that day after his mother who had gone to pick him from school could not find him.
Meanwhile, when news of the startling discovery got out, yesterday, parents rushed to the school to pick their children, while inquisitive residents thronged the school, located on Aregbesola Street, to have a glimpse of the septic tank and bloated body.
Further moves by on-lookers were prevented by stern looking policemen from Ago Okota Division and operatives from Panti, who prevented journalists from taking photographs.
