Anambra people in US map development

AWKA—ANAMBRA indigenes in the United States of America have mapped out programmes for the development of the state, as part of their contributions to support what they described as the forward-looking administration of Governor Peter Obi.

The new president of Anambra State Association in USA, ASA –USA, Professor Allison Amadi, said officials of the association would soon visit home to have a holistic view of Governor Obi’s development blueprint to enable the association know which areas to contribute.

According to him, Anambra people are proud of Obi’s performance, and that any patriotic Anambrarian who desired the good of the state would naturally key into his developmental efforts.

Obi had on Sunday held a meeting with the new leadership of Anambra people in America at the Crown Plaza Hotel, O’Hare, Chicago, USA.

The meeting was at the instance of the governor, who used the occasion to commend the former leadership of the association, led by Dr. Nwachukwu Anakwenze.

The governor called on the new leadership to always focus its mind on what should be of interest to the progress and development of Anambra State.

Press Secretary to Governor Obi, Mr. Mike Udah, said in a statement that the governor and the ASA -USA used the opportunity of the meeting to review activities of ASA -USA over the years and called on them to intensify efforts towards the good of the state.
