Ijaw leader, Chief Edwin K. Clark, has called for proper investigation of the bomb blasts close to the venue of the nation’s golden jubilee celebration in Abuja on Friday. No fewer than 15 people were confirmed dead while several people were seriously injured in the explosions.
Clark, who received a group of Ijaw youths who called on him at his Asokoro residence yesterday, said the incident requires proper investigation to determine those behind what President Goodluck Jonathan described as a dastardly act.
Clark told Sunday Vanguard that the incident should be condemned by all Nigerians and nobody should seek to make political gains from it.
