The Senator representing Delta North Senatorial district of Delta State, Senator Patrick Osakwe, has paid a visit to the chairman of the Delta State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Peter Nwaoboshi.
Senator Osakwe, who before the visit was anti-Nwaoboshi, pledged support and loyalty to the Nwaoboshi-led executive of the party in the state. He was warmly received by the state PDP chairman.
The Senator, who described Nwaoboshi as an asset to the PDP through his remarkable performance since the formation of the party, pleaded for waiver to enable him contest election for a third term in the Senate.
Nwaoboshi in his response assured Osakwe that the PDP is one family party, adding that the visit was a welcome development and expressed happiness for the re-union of the Senator with him.
He advised all dissenting voice to come back to the fold and work for the success of the party at the forthcoming general elections.
According to him, “this is not the time for petty bickering, rancour and bitterness but time to come together as a family and work for the enthronement of peace in the party, to engender victory at the polls.”
Nwaoboshi described Osakwe as a brother and friend, reiterating that there would be a level playing ground for all contestants and advised them to go to the field and campaign for votes.
