NFA: Erico lauds Abang over election nullification

By Kate Obodo
Former Super Eagles assistant coach Joe Erico has lauded the decision of the Federal High court which annulled the controversial NFA election.

According to the former Julius Berger coach the decision by Justice Okon Abang will pave way for the football house to put their acts in order.

Erico stated that for long some people have ran the NFA like a lawless body and have brought football in Nigeria to its knees, stressing that it is time for things to be done the right way.

“Going by the nullification, it shows that the election was not properly done. So they need to obey the court order and do the right things, all we can do now is to watch the drama as it unfolds.

“Looking at our football, we are not yet there. There is every tendency that we will continue to have same problems until we get it right . What we need to do is to start from somewhere, and I believe now is the time to put things in order.

“To start with, we have a very big vacuum in the youth development
program especially in the schools where talents are discovered, not only for football but for all sports. We have to clear the rough path before we can think of the way out in the woods,” he said.
