N100 electricity bill and a hand
A 30-year-old man has been arrested for chopping off a tenant’s arm with a cutlass during an argument over payment of Power Holdings Company of Nigeria Plc., PHCN, bill in Iyana-Ipaja area of Lagos.
The suspect, identified as Azeez Ganiu, is son of owner of a building at 10, Olayinka street, Aboru area of Iyana-Ipaja.

However, on Afeez arrival at about 9.30p.m., after being hinted about the development, he was said to have made straight for the electricity pole, with a view to disconnecting the shop-owner’s wire.
However, his attempt was said to have been resisted by another tenant, one Koya Arowosegbe, who claimed the disconnection led to the fluctuation of power in his apartment.
The fight
His resistance, reportedly led to a fight between the duo, during which Azeez was said to have made for a cutlass.
In Koya’s attempt to block the cutlass which Azeez intended hitting him on his head with, using his hand, his arm was reportedly cut off.
Koya was said to have slumped an hour later as he had lost so much blood owing to his rejection by two government hospitals he was rushed to, following doctors’ ongoing strike. He is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Agege area of the state.
