Super Eagles midfielder, Kalu Uche, who netted a brace in his side’s victory over Deportivo La Coruna, has sent out warning signals to Guinea, who they play next weekend in a 2012 Nations Cup qualifier.
The Nigerian team travel to Conakry to confront Guinea, who are topping the log on goals difference, acutely aware that a loss may put their qualification hopes on a cliffhanger.
After scoring two goals for his Spanish club, Kalu, is causing ripples in the Guinean camp, as the countdown to the big tango approaches quickly.
And in readiness of what lies ahead, Uche, has promised Eagles coach, Austin Eguavoen, that he would replicate his Almeria form when push comes to shove against Guinea.
“I would do my best to ensure that we leave Conakry a happier side”, Uche told his club’s website during the week.
The Almeria striker was in red hot form as he hit a brace for his Spanish Primera Liga side at the Riazor against Deportivo La Coruna.
It would be recalled that the former Enyimba of Aba player, hit the first of his two goals on 4 minutes. Fourteen minutes later, he got his second.
