Former Nigerian international, Taribo West has accused the Nigeria Football Association of playing “double standard†as the football house negotiates personal terms with yet-to-be- announced Eagles coach, Samson Siasia.
West who last featured for Nigeria at the Korea/Japan 2002 said the alarm being raised by the Nigeria Football Association over Siasia’s salary demand was uncalled for as the Bayelsa state gaffer was good enough for the salary he was asking for.
“Siasia should be paid well. I think this talk about no money by the NFA is all double standard. They have paid all foreign coaches well even though they ended up achieving nothing. Siasia is better than these so-called white men, he deserved to be paid well,†Taribo insisted.
The Rivers state-born former footballer turned Pastor advised Siasia to engage good technical assistants who would be bedrock. “He should get the best hands to assist him because he can’t do it alone. I believe he knows what to do in this respect.â€
