CO-ORDINATORS of the Uduaghan Vision, a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, support group in Delta State have reaffirmed their commitment to the re-election of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan in the 2011 general elections.
The group also endorsed Mr Ndudi Elumelu for the Aniocha Oshimili Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, even as Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, said the meeting was a gathering of politicians of like minds as part of efforts to drum support for his (Ojougboh) senatorial ambition in the 2011 elections.
In a statement at the end of its consultative meeting in Agbor, Delta State, weekend, the group said its support for Governor Uduaghan was based on his excellent performance and implementation of the three point development agenda of the state administration.
Executive Secretary of the Uduaghan Vision Campaign Committee, Engr. Emmanuel Eboh, in the statement also pledged the group’s commitment to the promotion of the candidature of Dr. Ojougboh.
The group acknowledged with satisfaction, the political antecedents of Dr. Ojougboh saying that as a loyal party stalwart, he has positively advanced the ideals of the PDP at the ward, state and federal levels.
The group also endorsed Hon. Ndudi Elumelu for the Aniocha Oshimili Federal Constituency in the Federal House of representative.
In his remarks the zonal co_ordinator of the group, Ogbueshi Douglas Okolotu re_stated an earlier decision of the group to support all members of the vision aspiring to contest elective positions in the 2011 general elections.
Ogbueshi Okolutu particularly acknowledged the giant strides made by the Gov. Uduaghan in the areas of infrastructural development and sustenance of peace and stability in the state.
Ogbueshi Okolotu disclosed that a formidable political structure has been put in place by the group to actualize the political ambition of all members and called for greater co_operation from all.
Earlier in his opening remarks Dr. Cairo Ojougboh said the meeting was a gathering of politicians of like minds with the ultimate aim of drumming support for his senatorial ambition in the 2011 elections.
He solicited the support of the people saying that he has the pedigree and needed political attributes to represent the people of Delta North in the National Assembly.
The meeting was attended by the national chairman of the Uduaghan Vision campaign organization, Dr. Joshua Enueme, the campaign secretary Hon Sylvester Eseagwu, the publicity secretary Mr. Azuka Emeyere,the organsing secretary Hon. Suny Ogwu and the Nine LGA co_ordinators within Delta North Senatorial district.
