Obotebe youths partner JTF on community policing

AS  part of its support for the Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan-led administration’s  three-point agenda, the Obotebe community youths in Obotebe Kingdom of Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, have inaugurated a 24-man Crowd Management Team to support security, law, order and complement the efforts of the Joint Task Force, JTF.

President of the movement, Mr. Party Kanbofa, said the idea was borne out of the need for peace and orderliness in the community and the entire Kingdom.

He commended  the JTF, for their presence, adding that their presence in Burutu had attracted relative calm to the area.

Representative of the JTF and Officer-in-Charge of Burutu town, Lt. L.D. Mohammed, said the setting up of the CMT was a welcome development, as it would help prevent crime and restore law and order, especially when it was in line with the Governor Uduaghan’s three-point agenda.
