Ahead the Fifa Under-17 Women World Cup in Trinidad and Tobago, the national Under- 17 Women’s team, Flamingoes have been scheduled to embark on playing tour of Florida, USA, to play warm up matches with the US National U-17 Women squad.
Aside the US Under-17 team, the Flamingoes would lock horns with three other clubsides while in the US before the end of this month.
The Nigeria Football Federation acting general secretary, Barrister Musa Amadu said yesterday that this is part of the preparations for the team, which is expected to fly the country’s flag at the Fifa Under_17 Women World Cup scheduled for Trinidad and Tobago on 5th September, 2010.
The training tour to Florida , USA , Amadu said, “would give the girls an excellent exposure and more confidence, especially as they have not played at the international level beforeâ€.
The players, who are eager to bring another soccer glory to passionate football loving Nigerians, are expected to hit Port of Spain, capital of Trinidad and Tobago.
