Excitement, as Zain lowers call rates, introduces free SMS

As part of its commitment to enable telecoms consumers communicate freely with friends, family members, and business partners and associates at pocket-friendly rates,  Zain Nigeria, one of the mobile operators in the country  has introduced free SMS (Short Message Service), lowered tariff for calls within and out of networks (off-Net and On-Net calls), free weekend calls and many other  benefits for its customers.

The Telecom operator,  said that  the move was in  furtherance of its commitment to enable telecoms consumers communicate freely with friends, family members, and business partners and associates at pocket-friendly rates.
Under the new  tariff plan ,  customers who connect to one of the packages, Koolmax, a value-rich offering designed for young and trendy individuals will have the opportunity to make free calls to a favourite friend on weekends in addition to enjoying free midnight calls daily between 12 mid-night and 4.30am.

The  Chief Operating Officer of Zain Nigeria, Deepak Srivastava while speaking on the new development  said besides Koolmax package, Zain has also unveiled other tariff offerings tailored to suit the lifestyles, communications needs, aspirations and income levels of telecoms consumers in Nigeria.

Apart from Koolmax package, other newly introduced offerings include Valumax, a package designed for the average Nigerian,  an extension of the recently launched pre-paid tariff plan and Zain Step-Up package extension: Step-Up Diamond and Step-up platinum expansion, a premium lifestyle package targeted at  medium & High Value Individuals.

He said the introduction of the new value offerings underscores Zain’s commitment to create a place for everyone in its wonderful world, saying that the new solutions will give customers the freedom to choose any of the offers that best suit their personal needs and aspirations.

He added that the new offers have opened a window of opportunity for Nigerians as every telecoms consumer now have a place on the Zain network. “Our posy of new offerings has a unique plan and package designed for different mobile phone users such as students, middle level executives, high value individuals, traders and housewives, among other categories.

“For instance, with Valumax, we are offering Nigerians maximum value as we are giving our esteemed customers an opportunity to make calls at a reduced rate of 45k per second for on-net calls and N0.58k per seconds for on-net calls; and also offering them over 50% discount on calls to 10 Family and Friends numbers and over 5hours of free Zain to Zain calls.

“We are also offering middle level executives and other High Value Individuals exclusive lifestyle benefits with our newly repackaged StepUp Platinum and StepUp Diamond offers.

The new StepUp package offers aspiring and very High Value Users a plethora of lifestyle benefits including an opportunity to choose their preferred mobile phone numbers, VIP treatment at Airport lounges,  priority treatment when they call the helpline or visit a Zain service outlets and reduced call rates up to 15k per minutes for calls to any network,” said Srivastava.

He said the four new value offerings: Koolmax, Valumax, StepUp Platinum and StepUp Diamond will afford telecoms users across the country an opportunity to choose specific mobile solutions that reflect their lifestyles and enable them communicate at affordable rates.
