Super Eagles and Hapoel Tel-Aviv of Israel first choice keeper, Vincent Enyeama was in fine form for his Israeli side last night and helped them qualify for the playoffs of the UEFA Champions League.
Enyeama who is unhappy with the club for blocking his purported summer transfer to FC Porto of Portugal was in his element as he reproduced the superb form he exhibited in South Africa for the Eagles by helping Hapoel beat Kazakhstani club FK Aktobe 3_1 on the night and qualify 3_2 on aggregate.
Although the visitors set up a nervous finale in added time, after capitalizing on the mix up in the opponents’ defence, after a corner kick, Enyeama held on and his side will now discover their play_off opponents when the draw is made in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday.
The win by Enyeama’s team ensured that Aktobe suffered third qualifying round disappointment against an Israeli club for the second successive season.
