Developer set to deliver 2000 housing units in Kwara

A private estate development firm, International Business Bureau Limited (IBBL), has pledged to deliver a minimum of 2000 housing units in Kwara State before the end of the current administration in the state next year.

Chief Executive Officer of the company, Chief Bode Afolayan, who gave the assurance recently at a meeting with the with the General Manager of the State Housing Corporation, Mr. Salihu Suleiman and the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Ahmed Makama, promised to deliver Harmony Estate, Akerebiata, Ilorin within the next three months.

Afolayan said he was ready to partner with the state housing corporation to fulfil its mandate of housing for all in the state.

Also speaking at the meeting the housing corporation GM disclosed plans by the state government to establish housing estates in all parts of the state, and therefore invited private developers to come partner with the corporation in order to facilitate its mass housing scheme.

He promised support for genuine developers to fast track housing delivery at an affordable rate across the state, adding that the state is ready to sign Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with such private developers for prompt housing delivery in the state.
