UGHELLI — DELTA State Commissioner for Special Duties, Warri Water project, Chief Fred Majemite, has pledged the readiness of the Uduaghan 2011 Campaign Organisation to deliver the state Governor for a second term in the 2011 gubernatorial election.
He spoke while fielding questions from newsmen, after a meeting of the organisation in Ughelli, yesterday. Majemite, who is the Coordinator of the Ughelli North Local Government Area Chapter of the campaign organisation, urged Deltans to remain committed in their support for Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan.
Saying that they were not discouraged by pockets of opposition against the government, Majemite added that they are ready to deliver the Governor in the local government area.
“Here in Ughelli, we have learned of one or two persons, who have indicated interest to run for governorship. We know they are paper weight aspirants but we are not leaving anything to chance.
“We believe that the governor has done well in the implementation of his three-point agenda and that speaks volume. We know his worth. Those who are coming do not have a track record but we know that Uduaghan has a track record.
We are going to vote for him massively come 2011 because his dividends of democracy are there for all to see.
“The essence of the meeting is to let the leaders and elders know that the ward inauguration for the campaign organisation can now begin because we want to take the campaign to the nooks and crannies of the council,” he added.
The election will not be conducted only in the metropolis, we want to go to the villages, we want to go to all the units, so that we can inaugurate the wards, from the wards we will go to the units,†he said.
