ADO-EKITI—The former governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayo Fayose has finally declare to contest the governorship seat in the state come 2011 if the ruling of the Appeal Court does not favour the governorship candidate of Action Congress, AC, Dr . Kayode Fayemi.
However, if the verdict of the appellate court came out to be in favour of Fayemi, Fayose said he may decide to contest the senatorial seat of the Central Senatorial District in the state
Fayose who was the governor of the state under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, between 2003 – August 2006 said based on the cards on the table that the incumbent governor, Engr Segun Oni would eventually lose out.
The former governor who was speaking while addressing supporters and members of LP at Emure-Ekiti during campaign, weekend, said he remains relevant in the politics of the state despite his ordeal in the hands of his political foes.
His words, “if by any means they don’t give it to Fayemi, I will come out and contest. Oni is between two Red Seas, if he does not surrender to Fayemi, he will surrender to me.
He’s a loser whichever side the verdict goes. He will meet me at the poll and he will lose to me. My history will be ‘he was unjustly removed and justly returned. I will be returned by my people.â€
