Two friends were, yesterday, arraigned at a Senior Magistrate’s Court, Apapa, on a three-count charge of felony, causing bodily harm and attempted murder.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Joseph Kalu, said the accused, Elvis Otarighorua, 20, and Onyekachi Okorie, 18, had on March 3 at Sinclair Secondary School, Olodi, Apapa, Lagos conspired to commit the alleged crime.

He said that the accused lured their victim, one Toheeb Bello, to the school and used machetes to inflict grievous injuries on him.

Kalu told the court that the injuries led to Bello being hospitalised.
The offence, he said, contravened Sections 320, 335 and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State.

The accused pleaded not guilty.

The Senior Magistrate, Mrs Ariyike Ipaye-Nwachukwu, granted the two accused bail in the sum of N100, 000 each, with one surety each in like sum.
