ABUJA— Justice Abubakar Talba of an Abuja high court sitting in Gudu, yesterday, struck out the suit filed before him by 19 hitherto aggrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, challenging their suspension from the party over alleged anti-party activities.
Justice Talba who had earlier fixed yesterday to commence hearing on the substantive suit, however terminated further proceeding on the matter after counsel to the ‘Reformist Group’, Chief Kanu Agabi, SAN, informed the court about the decision of the litigants to withdraw the suit, adding that the controversies that culminated into the legal action were amicably resolved out of court.
Agabi while making an oral application for the discontinuance of further hearing on the suit, yesterday, told the court that the ‘Reformist Group’ and the defendants in the matter had reconciled their differences, maintaining that they are now ‘in one big and happy family, under the same umbrella’.
