ABUJA—President Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday, approved the appointment of 14 new Justices for the Court of Appeal and 8
Judges for the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory , Abuja .

The president who endorsed their appointment yesterday following the recommendation of the National Judicial Council, NJC, has further ordered the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Aloysius I. Katsina-Alu, to swear them into office promptly, stressing that it would go along way towards strengthening justice delivery system in the country.

The new Justices of the Court of Appeal are, Justice Abubakar Alkali, Adamawa state, Justice Joseph S. Ikyegh, Benue State, Justice Tom Shaibu Yakubu, Kogi State, Justice Tine Tur, Benue State, Justice Rita Nosakhare Pemu, Delta State, Justice
Philomena M. Ekpe, Cross River State, Justice Chinwe E. Iyizoba, Anambra State, Justice Haruna Moh’d Tsammani, Bauchi State, Justice Samuel C. Oseji, Delta State, Justice Mohammed A. Danjuma, Taraba State, Justice Ita George Mbaba, Akwa-Ibom State, Justice Akeju Isaiah Olufemi, Ekiti State, Justice Tunde O. Awotoye, Osun State and Justice Moore A.A Ademein for the Bayelsa State high court of Justice.
