UGHELLI— Honourable Solomon Ahwinahwi Grassroot Support Movement, HSAGSM, and the Ewu Riverine People of Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State, have described the suspension of Ahwinahwi and 10 others by the House of Representatives as morally wrong.
A joint statement by the groups,  by Mr. Bourdillion Odafe, Woman leader, Mercy Ugbobor and others, said they were satisfied with conduct of the lawmaker.
While condemning the action of the House, the groups urged the leadership to reverse its decision, noting that due process was not followed in the suspension of the 11 federal legislators.
According to the statement, “the suspended members of the House were pursuing a justified course that was aimed at exposing corruption and misappropriation of funds by the leadership of the House.”
They described Ahwinawhi as a good representative, who had impacted positively on the lives of his constituents and maintained that the legislator had empowered indigent persons in his constituency with motor cycles, sewing machines and cash to set up small scale businesses.
They noted that Ahwinahwi had attracted various developmental projects to the federal constituency, particularly the water project in Okpe-Olomu, Ughelli South Local Government Area; Water and Health Care Centre in Agbarho, Ughelli North Local Government Area.
