NIGERIA’s FIFA Executive Committee member, Dr Amos Adamu has stepped into the brouhaha of self-imposed ban from international competitions for two years by asking the world soccer-governing body to stay action on the country.
Dr Adamu has been receiving a deluge of delegations following the pronouncement by Government that Nigeria would use the period to put things together.
Adamu while speaking to many delegations who paid him a courtesy visit yesterday in his Sandton Towers, said that FIFA had decided to give Nigeria more time to rescind the decision.
He expressed optimism that the Nigerian Government would retrace their steps after they were given a hint of the wages of starring FIFA in the eyes. He said that he had been in constant touch with Nigeria’s Sports Minister, Ibrahim Bio.
