CAPDAN launches health insurance scheme for members

The World Health Organisation, (WHO) in partnership  with the  Computer and Allied Products Dealers  Association of Nigeria, (CAPDAN)an umbrella body representing Information Communication Technology vendors in the Computer Village Ikeja have launched Health Insurance Scheme for its members.

This is to further  assist CAPDAM members and their families  to have easy access to health scheme at affordable rate.
With this, members of CAPDAN that are fully registered can access hospitals nearest to them  including Surulere general hospital, Agege general hospital, Oshuntuyi medical   center in Obanikoro, Heals specialist hospital, May clinics Ilasa, Topaz clinic , Cristal hospiatl, Lagoon clinic Ikeja, Lagoon clinic Victoria Island, Lagoon clinic Apapa, and State University Teaching hospital.

To qualify for the health insurance scheme, members of the association and their family members are to register with just  N1,300 . This allows them to free drugs, free treatments, free health consultation.
The CAPDAN Secretary General, John Oboro while unfolding the current plans  to Vanguard CyberLIFE last week in Lagos,  disclosed that members must choose on the selected clinics at their main provider, adding that they can also use any of the Hygeia Community Health Plan, (HCHP) clinics in case of an emergency.

Although members of CAPDAN are responding to the new health plans, Oboro said that by making small payment, registered members can get medical care throughout the year. “When you pay, you chose hospital and get an HCHP identity card which allows you to get treatment at your chosen hospital. With this, you can go medical check-up, get treatment when you are sick, and get immunization for your children,” he explained.
