Aero customers can now pay using mobile phone

Aero airline Wednesday in Lagos introduced a new product called “Aero webmobile”, which will enable customers to book and pay for their flight tickets using their mobile phones.

The introduction of the webmobile is in addition to other booking and payment options provided by Aero for the customers’ convenience.

From next week,  customers with WAP enabled phones will be able to access the Aero site to make their bookings and pay with the details of any generally acceptable debit, credit or cash card.

The second phase of the webmobile starting August will allow anyone with any mobile phone to search, book and purchase Aero tickets straight from their phones via m.flyaero.com or by simply sending SMS to a shortcode.

The Head of Commercial for Aero, Mr. Robert Prophet, during the presentation disclosed that the application which has been integrated to the aero ticket_sale booking engine offers customers the opportunity to make bookings for flight tickets from any part of the world and pay on their telephone using any of the widely acceptable international credit cards as well as all local Debit cards currently enabled for web transactions in Nigeria.

While looking forward to a rewarding partnership with SlimTrader that is powering the product, Mr. Robert Prophet said  “This new service is going to revolutionize how people purchase their airline tickets, and also what they expect from their airline. For our customers who don’t have access to computers to purchase tickets, they can now do so from their phone through Aero’s mobile web  or SMS”.

Discussing the partnership with Aero, SlimTrader’s CEO, Femi Akinde said: “We are truly happy to have this opportunity to work with Nigeria’s oldest and most innovative airline.
