2011: Group adopts Mukoro for gov

UGHELLI — AHEAD of the 2011 general elections, a political pressure group, Delta Orientation Front, DOF, has adopted Prof. Saliba Mukoro as its gubernatorial candidate in Delta State.

The group in a statement by its President, Mr. Jewo Oghene-Gare, said they adopted Prof. Mukoro because of his overwhelming political track record in the country.

Describing Prof. Mukoro as a man sent by God to deliver Deltans through good governance, the group said some of the political activities of Prof. Mukoro were the factors that led to the creation of the state.

“Prof. Mukoro is a man with proven integrity and someone who believes that human life is relevant only to the extent to which he contributes to humanity’s development.”

It said the membership of the group cuts across the 25 local government areas of the state  and believes in good governance. Oghene-Gare in the statement said the group was out bring about change in the state.

“Like every other good citizens of this nation, members of DOF believe that this is the time to make change. We, therefore,  call on the good people of Delta State irrespective of their tribe to rally round Prof Mukoro,” it added.
