PDP scores Abia govt low on security

Umuahia— The Chairman of PDP in Abia, Chief Ndidi Okereke, has accused the Progressive Peoples Alliance of bequeathing insecurity as the only dividend of democracy to the people of the state.

Okereke said Wednesday in Umuahia that while former Governor Orji Kalu under-developed Abia, Governor Theodore Orji had made the state insecure and investor-unfriendly.

“In Aba, Umuahia and the environs, life and property are no longer secure. Captains of industry and expatriates have fled and commercial activities are paralysed,” he said.

He described the state government’s amnesty programme for criminals as a total failure.

“I want to challenge the PPA-led administration to tell the world the number of persons that denounced kidnapping and armed robbery,” the chairman said.
