The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Lagos Chapter in collaboration with The Quadrant Company (TQC) have instituted an executive training programme for corporate businesses, in media relations, digital Public Relations, consumer and corporate communications.
The training in a wide range of communication topics, is targeted at corporate executives and top-tier management personnel in and within all sectors of the Nigerian economy, are expected to kick off by third quarter of the year.
The collaboration between NIPR and Quadrant was created with the vision of implementing the principles and practices inherent in strategic communications and how it can boost the competence of C-level and line executives in the area of corporate and consumer communications, and relationship management, thus building and impacting positively on the Nigerian business industry.
Speaking, Bolaji Okusaga, Lead Consultant, TQC said the initiative was borne out of the need for top management executives to relate appropriately with the media and other critical stakeholders; knowing what to say and how to say it.
Okusaga stated that the partnership with NIPR would strengthen the body’s core objectives in providing appropriate communication direction in Public Relations with the revolving trends on the global scene
In the same vein, Jide Ologun, Chairman, NIPR Lagos Chapter said that the body is happy to be a partner in the thought leading initiative by TQC, but believes that beyond this maiden edition, the initiative would witness a prolonged partnership in subsequent editions.
According to Ologun, “this is a step in the right direction as this specialised training will help equip executives to meet their communication challenges.â€
