Indomie wins Lagos State CSR Diamond award

In recognition of its outstanding corporate social responsibility initiative in the state, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, makers of No.1 noodles brand, Indomie Instant Noodles, has been presented with the Lagos State Corporate Social Responsibility Diamond Award.

The award put together by the State CSR Award Committee, through the Ministry of Education was presented to the company at an impressive ceremony held at the company’s corporate head office in Surulere.

According to the organizers, the award recognizes and celebrates the role of corporate organisations who have contributed to the economic development and social transformation of Lagos State, the industrial centre of Nigeria.

The Media & Events Consultant to the Lagos State Ministry of Education, Mr. Olalekan Iginla_Azeez, in a speech at the presentation commended Dufil Prima Foods Plc, for what he described as its continued support in the
area of educational development and urged it not to relent in its efforts in supporting activities that has direct bearing on the lives of its consumers.

Iginla_Azeez explained that having bagged the Gold Award two years ago, the Diamond award was in recognition of these great feats by the leading noodles manufacturer. He also used the opportunity to officially open a partnership bid with the leading noodles manufacturers on the future prospective of Lagos State Jam Feast project the brain child of the Lagos State Deputy Governor which explore invention, entrepreneurship in Lagos schools for self discovery and future living.

He emphasised the importance of the Jam Feast Festival to the promotion healthy living amongst our youths as a means of diverting their minds away from every form of social vices saying government was already seeing its
impact on the state’s teeming youngsters.|

Speaking on the award, the PR Manager for Dufil Prima Foods Plc, Tope Ashiwaju expressed the company’s appreciation to the Lagos State CSR Award Committee for recognising the efforts and contributions of the company in making life better for the people most especially the youths in the state.

Ashiwaju also dedicated the award to the company’s numerous customers in Lagos State who have stood solidly behind the company these past years. He said the award is an honour and indication that the company’s presence is
positively felt and appreciated by the people. He said the company will continue to support and respond to the needs of its numerous consumers in the state.
