IBADAN— APEX Industrial court in the country, the National Industrial Court, NIC, has stopped the Senior staff Association of Universities, Teaching Hospital, Research Institutes and Associated Institutions, SSAUTHRIAI, from holding its delegates conference earlier scheduled for today and tomorrow in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The NIC, which on June 22, 2010, gave the order stopping the conference, said the action was sequel to an ex-parte application filed by Mr Emma Chuks Uzoalu, President of Research Institutes’ sector of SSAUTHRIAI and two others, representing the sector against Mr. M. O. Akinade, Dr. B. A Akintola and the National Executive Council, NECO of SSAUTHRIAI.

Comrade Uzoalu and the other applicants had approached the NIC, to among others, restrain the respondents, ( Akinade and co) from holding the planned delegates conference as scheduled on any other day pending  the determination of the substantive suit.
