By Festus Ahon
UGHELLI—GENERAL overseer of the Faith Assembly Prophetic Ministry, Bishop Onyeke Onyeke, has enjoined President Goodluck Jonathan to pursue inter-religious harmony amongst the religious groups in the country.

Onyeke who stated this shortly after bagging the Ambassador of Peace Award of the Universal Peace Federation alongside his wife, Rita, in a chat  with newsmen, said inter-religious harmony will enthrone peace in all parts of the country.

He said it was unhealthy for religious groups to fight themselves, adding that  religious crises were threat to the peace of the country.

He urged Jonathan to look beyond religion and tribal sentiments in the implementation of his administration’s policies and programmes, adding that he should leave good legacies behind. He prayed for good health and wisdom for the President to move the country forward.

Speaking further, he thanked the leadership of the Universal Peace Federation for finding him and his wife worthy of the award. Earlier, chairman, Board of Trustees of the group, Ambassador Segun Olusola, said there is no country in the world where the works of ambassadors of peace are not present.

According to him, the group’s decision to honour the cleric was based on recommendation of other ambassadors of peace in the country, noting that the challenges of attaining an ambassador were enormous.
