By Jimitota Onoyume
PORT HARCOURT— FOUR persons were reportedly burnt yesterday, when a petrol tanker fell at a bad spot on the Obigbo axis of the Port Harcourt/Aba Road.

Eye witnesses said three other vehicles were trapped at the bad spot before the petrol tanker carrying supply drove into the spot and also got trapped.

In its bid to manoeuvre the pot holes,  it fell, spilling its products.  The exhaust of a vehicle, reportedly hit an object,  igniting the fire.

It took the combined intervention of fire service from Intels and the state government to control the inferno,  which caused a lot of losses in the area.

It could not be confirmed if any life was lost in the incident but an eye witnesses said some persons were consumed in the inferno. Effort to confirm the claim was futile as nobody could identify the sex of the victims or who removed the corpses.
