The TomTom ‘Believe in the Super Eagles’ road show came to an exciting end in Mararaba, near Abuja, on Thursday with a throng of Nigerians signing the giant jersey.
The campaign, which was designed to encourage fans to get behind the Super Eagles ahead of the South Africa 2010 World Cup, was rounded off at the absolutely jam_packed Mararaba Motor Park as fans jostled to sign the little space left unfilled in the jersey.
Interestingly, the road show seemed to save the best for last as the Mararaba crowd was the largest since the travelling party left Lagos for Kano last Saturday.
At the end of the show, which was the fourth in Abuja after performances in Kubwa on Tuesday and Wuse and Garki on Wednesday, the jersey had got enough signatures to exceed TomTom’s target of 10,000.
The signed giant jerseys will be presented to the Eagles on Friday, when they have a farewell dinner with President Goodluck Jonathan ahead of their trip to their World Cup training camp in London.
