Our expectations – HHWA Nominees

The Knight House (Best Rap single, Best Collabo)
Our nomination for the award is a big deal.. We’re grateful for the very big honour. Even if we don’t win, it’s still going to be a very big honour. We didn’t expect the nomination. This is our first nomination for the Hip-Hop Award. We’re sure that there’s at least one headie with our name on it already.

Terry Tha Rapman
(Best Collabo, Best Rap Single)
I’ve had nominations in the HHWA in the past. I know I have to win this time. The expectation is high this year. I’m looking forward to winning and what the organisers will do differently this time. I noticed that they’re taking it to a different dimension. But I’m very confident now compared to the previous times.

(Song of the Year, Best Street Hop)
When we saw the acceptance of our song during the year, we expected a lot afterwards and one of these is nominations in the Hip Hop World Awards. We’re optimistic that we’ll get at least one out of the two nominations.

Kefee (Best Collabo, Best Vocal Performance Female, Best Pop Single)
Kokoroko (the song for which she’s nominated) had a total of six nominations and four awards last year. And I have four nominations so far this year (including a Best Music Video nomination whose award goes to the director of the song).

I’‘m elated and excited. I’m expecting to win on May 29 because everything is possible and I want people to vote for me. I’ll like to collect all the awards. This is my first nomination for the Hip-Hop Award and I think the innovation behind the Award is a good one.

The award ceremony will hold at the Eko Hotel & Suite, Lagos on May 29, 2010.
