MMS at 15 plans W/African expansion

Media Monitoring Services Nigeria (MMS) Limited has concluded plans to expand its services to other countries in the West African sub-region, as it celebrates 15 years of existence in the media monitoring business.

Mr. Uche Aligbe, Chief Executive Officer of MMS, speaking at the unveiling of Markcomm, a Marketing Communication Magazine, on the challenges media monitoring experienced as a toddler said, “people did not believe in the company when it started operations, but today, the story is different, because, people are beginning to understand what media monitoring is all about.”

His words, “In 1995, when we came on board, we were mis-understood, we  were seen as investigative police who seek to punish the innocent. That propelled us to introduce the watchdog service. Things  made it difficult for us to move, but today, we are happy to have expanded to regions.

We are wearing a  happy cap. It will not be out of way to say that MMS is planning to expand to other West African sub-regions before the end of the year.”

Aligbe who disclosed that the services of the company include advertising share, cluster, media spend, GRP check, alert service, and media habit studies.

In addition, he said that with the services they provide make it easier for  media managers, planners and advertising agencies to read and properly understand their operating environment and take cost efficient and effective decision in marketing communication.
